My responsibilities ranged from legacy code maintenance and customer support, through building projects on the Sage / Acorn stack, to designing architectures for the automotive, health and e-commerce industries.

I worked extensively with Livewire components, as well as with external APIs and service integrations such as Car Sales Flow, GetResponse, Brevo and Google Maps.

The place where I learned the most, from a handful of the best senior-level developers I have ever had the chance to meet.

It introduced me properly to the Bedrock / Acorn / Sage stack and to the concepts behind CI/CD pipelines. I worked daily with veteran full-stack developers, building solutions I had never thought possible.

This is where I got to know the mechanics of a well-crafted software project, and where I fell in love with the Ray debugger.

Polcode was my first encounter with a large-scale software house, and with working to tight deadlines and under pressure. I joined the WordPress team and gained my first real experience of medium-scale projects - which, at the time, felt like working for NASA.

What I learned at Polcode laid the foundations for everything I would go through in the years that followed - thank you, Paweł and Dominik.

Polcode also gave me a chance to practise my English: we served clients all over the world, and live meetings were part of the daily routine.

Bazinga Designs marked the beginning of my road as a professional web developer. It was a time of exploration and learning - when responsive design meant JavaScript, and we were doing it while working around Internet Explorer 8!
